Itinerary and Visit Planning Help and advice for the first-time visitor |

Many of our guests are returning to the dales after spending time here in the past and now want to re-visit some of their favourite spots, or see those places they did not get to see last time. However we also welcome a large number of ‘first-time’ visitors, especially from overseas, and we are pleased to be able to use our knowledge of the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas to recommend places to visit and suggest itineraries. These include ‘special-interest’ tours of the rich heritage and natural history of the area, ‘film and TV locations visits, and of course local walks to suit all tastes and abilities. We have a wide collection of maps, guides and reference books which are available to guests, and we offer the free loan of a ‘Tom Tom’ satellite navigation system with programmed routes for the benefit of our guests. Children and adults alike are well provided for with attractions in the area.
